What is a Rohloff? Short answer: It's a 14 speed internally geared hub. If you'd like the long answer, it's here in the form of an article we wrote for a Bicycle publication. Rohloff Experience Rodriguez Bicycle company in Seattle Washington has become the largest builder of Rohloff equipped bicycles and tandems in the United States. How did that happen? It's simple. We custom build every bicycle for its rider. People interested in the Rohloff Speedhub have very specific ideas of what they want in their bicycle. This means the we have an advantage as every Rodriguez and Erickson bicycle that we build here in our small shop in Seattle is built after it's been ordered. Custom braze-on fittings, seat tube angles, different handle bars, custom sized, step through frame.....you name it!

This bike is not a classic 'folding' bike as people have come to know as 'whizzy' for an everyday bike. Classic 'folding' bikes are more of a 'second' bike that one only rides when they have to use a folding bike. The 6-Pack™ has been designed to ride just as solid as any touring or road bike. Packing ability was important, but it was also crucial for our 6-Pack™ customers that the bike perform well enough to be their everyday bike. Because we build this bike with a front triangle as well as a rear triangle, the bike rides like a full sized touring bike.
